However we've also decided to sell them separately as a stand-alone upgrade to your existing Magicshine bike light set. German designed and manufactured, Open Light batteries represent the very best in battery technology. Each battery undergoes a rigorous testing procedure (see details below) before it's sold. The batteries are all 100% waterproof (even without the protective bag/bottle and this model comes in a plastic bottle which can easily be placed in your bottle cage for even further protection. The bottle contains baffles to protect the battery further against knocks etc. All this makes the battery ideal for riding in even the most severe conditions. The massive battery capacity of this model also extends the battery life by around 4 times compared to the original model. If you decide to purchase this battery, you can be confident it will last. Each battery can be used with the original Magicshine charger supplied by Magicshine UK.

• Test 1: Altitude Simulation  This test simulates air transport under real conditions, eg for aircraft transport.
• Test 2: Thermal Test This test assesses if the cells of the battery can withstand very high and very low thermal exposures over a long time. The test is performed with the use of rapid changes in extreme heat/ cold temperature.
• Test 3: Vibration Test  This test simulates vibration during transport / application. So you can always be sure your light won&rsquot go off when you go through the roughest downhill on your bike.
• Test 4: Shock / Bump test This test simulates possible impacts during transport / application.
• Test 5: External Short Circuit Test This test simulates an external short circuit.
• Test 6: Impact / Impact Testing This test simulates an impact on a rechargeable cell.
• Test 7: Overcharge / Overload test This test assesses the ability of a rechargeable battery to withstand overload conditions.
• Test 8: Forced Discharge Test This test demonstrates the ability of a primary cell or a rechargeable cell to withstand a forced discharge. 
• Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Open Light thoroughly test the built-in protection circuit electronic on all their batteries and were given proof that there is no interference or electromagnetic effects coming from our products.
